THE MATON chris' notes: This Guitar is a Maton Tommy Emmanuel model. I brought it through Tommy in 1989. He chose it for me. I think this is from the first batch that was made and the serial number is no.58. It has a Takamine preamp in it. It plays incredibly well, and has never had the neck adjusted, or been refretted. I think this is certainly a testament to Matons high standards. Wherever I play this guitar, people comment on it. It is a very nice looking and sounding instrument. |
| THE SCHECTER chris' notes: This Guitar was given to me by Kondo Fusanosuke. It is the prototype of his signature model. It is a Tele shape, but with a Strat sound. It has Seymour Duncan pickups, and sounds great. The neck is Birdseye Maple and plays really well. I have been using this Guitar live since I got given it. The colour is listed as Mossy Green, but olive would be a good way to describe it. The nickname given from Tom Jackson is the Shecky Green.(who I later found out is a famous comedian from America) |

THE TELECASTER chris' notes: This one was purchased in 1989 also. It is beaten up, but by no means unloved. It is a Reissue model, and I particularly liked this one because it had the white binding on the body. It is made in Japan, and at the time was more expensive than the American Standard. It has had no work done to it. I did break the capacitor on the tone pot, and have never bothered to fix it though. It has a great tone and feels awesome to play. And looking back to when I purchased it, and people were right into fluro pink Kramers, I am so happily unembarrassed to still be able to play this one. The guy who sold me this Guitar was Mark Evans, the original bassist for AC/DC. |
